how to change skype font

Hi i tried to change the font on skype chat but i can't seem to change it. it changes on the colors screen but once i go back on the chat screen it is back on default which is black. i closed the screen, i unintalled and installed it again but it does not change. does anyone know how to or is it just impossible?? cheers
