I'd like to make it so that when I press my mouse against the side of my screen for 2 seconds, it'll automatically switch to the screen in the direction that my mouse is pointed (so if I put my mouse to the right it'll switch over that way). How can I achieve this?

Dunno if you can, there'd have to be an that adds this. What I'm thinking is that if you click and hold for 2 seconds, that would be a drag action for anything below it, that would be annoying if the window you clicked on moved as well.

You can always just add the spaces menu icon and switch from there.

You can assign a hot corner to Spaces. When I put the cursor in the top left corner of my screen, it activates Spaces.
