First: Your stacks have backgrounds?

Second: What's that have to do with changing Spaces backgrounds?

Third: if you're asking how to give each space a custom background color it can't be done.

Sorry, the title says Spaces, but I mean stacks. Will change it now. Sorry. My stacks are black and am wondering how to change that.

Your stacks are black? Like they're corrupt? could you post a screenshot?

Are your stacks not translucent black?

Sorry if I'm not just describing it correctly.

OHHHHHH the stacks when they're open, right. Okay. Well my first guess would be to search the resources folder of Dock.app. If there's nothing there chances are that it's coded into the dock and therefore pretty much impossible to change.

Okay, yeah. There are several png files located at /System/Library/Core\ Services/Dock.app/Contents/Resources that are all bits and pieces of the stack's image. You can throw those into photoshop and then relaunch the dock to customize it.

I found 13 items in the Dock.app folder in Core Services. However, I need someway to change them and find a place to download new files. Any ideas?

I don't think there is a demand for this. So you'll most likely have to make your own images, I've never heard of anyone hosting custom stacks backgrounds.
