How to change the dock?

So I have well mastered icons... need something else to change:D

Any tips on dock changing, cool sites for downloading. I have seen some neon activity indicators that look fun.

input please:apple:
 
Open Terminal and run the following command:

Code: 
defaults write com.apple.dock no-glass -boolean YES

then:

Code: 
killall Dock

Change YES to NO if you don't like it. Don't forget to run killall Dock again afterwards if you switch back.

i downloaded this.. put a spacer of some sort betweens apps and docs.. and i seem to be too retarded to get rid of it.. UGHH:eek:

I even deleted dock prefs and it still didn't go away. Program says drag it, but all that does is change the size? any ideas?

I am a tad ocd and little things drive me bonkers.. leave to me to be made to feel stupid by something so small.
 
i have the trial of candy bar... it is a really nice program, my issue is I can change all the icons manually so what am I paying 30 bucks for?

Did you give that defaults write com.apple.dock command a try? I for one love the 3d dock, but it's a great solution for those who prefer Tiger's 2d dock. ;)
 
Downloads folder in the dock

I have deleted the Downloads folder from the dock in my Macbook (OSX Leopard). I have tried to drag it back from Finder but it refuses. Any ideas?
 
If i download a dock from somewhere like here http://www.leoparddocks.com/index.php which part gets dropped onto the doc in candy bar?... there are dozens of small parts of the downloaded file..

I have candybar,liteicon and superdocker + I do alot of the icons manually... they all seem to have their unique purposes. Thanks for any input.

Use DockLibrary to install the docks from Leopard Docks.
