Where can I go to buy the parts and tools to change my iphone 5 to something like this??

did you read the post? I want to be able to buy the parts and tools myself and do it for myself instead of paying him to do it for me.

Unless you have experience in doing this i'd leave it up to the experts. But if your dead set on it check etrade supply or a site like that.

i tried looking on ebay, but I couldnt find the red band or red backing for the iphone 5 :(

wow awesome! thanks for the link. I wonder how the quality is though for a product in HK.. But I will give it a go when I want to do the mod for myself. Is there a link online anywhere on how to disassemble the phone?

LoL good luck with that as you have to anodize the aluminum and this isn't something any swinging pecker can do easily. Proper anno takes some skill, you'll end up jacking up your i and will have to purchase a new one.

Going the purchase way you'll most likely jack up one of your ribbon connectors and will have to replace that.... good luck either way.
For you, as it seems you can't do your own research and I'm sure "where can I find the video" will be your next question: http://www.ifixit.com/Teardown/iPhone+5+Teardown/10525/1

I'm serious here... What about Plasti Dip? Go to this site and read about it and then practice spraying some stuff. Tape off the areas you don't want red plasti dip to get into. You could probably spray over the buttons. Spray an old ipod. It will peel off after it dries.

Be sure to post some pics when you're complete with the mod! I'd love to see how it turns out.

If it's genuine parts, that sounds fair to me.

Genuine how? These parts are all aftermarket one way or the other. I wouldn;t be surprised if it's exactly the same as the one aliexpress one the other person posted. Mobileiphoneguy doesnt have the resources to anodize OEM parts on their own.

If you want your OEM parts anodized just use Anostyle. They were offering it for $150 last week but now it's back up to $250.
