Hi All,

So i'm about to buy a new internal, but someone told me to check on the power consumption of the drive before i buy it, as i had been undecided about which one because of their speeds - 5200 or 7200.

This guy said that some 7200rpms use a lot more power than others and that it is worth checking that out before you buy one.

I was just wondering if anyone had any ideas on what i should be looking for - what constitutes a good power consumption??? Can anyone recommend any that don't eat a lot of battery?

I'm after a 750 or 1TB internal drive for my MBP 15" mid 2010.

Thanks in advance for any help and advice.

Tom
