How to check M0100 mouse on //c

Hi

My 1st post on this board...

I inherited a //c system and then separately bought what looks like 5 identical m0100 mice. Now I need to verify whether all of them -- or at least one of them -- actually works with the system. What's the easiest way of doing it? I also inherited a bunch of software like WorkPerfect and some games but none of them seem to need a mouse. What should I do?

Note that M0100 mice made in the USA should work fine, but M0100 mice made in Japan do not work properly.
