How to check signal strength on iPhone 7 Plus(with Intel)?

It seems the field test mode doesn't work on the iPhone 7 Plus with the Intel chips. Is there another accurate method to check your signal strength for cellular connections? I tried a few apps but they don't seem to be too highly rated.

I input the code to go into field test mode and it just spins and does nothing.
