I have an iPad 2018 and iPadOS 16.6. How do I check the battery condition? I can do this on my iPhone but not on my iPad.
TIA

I'm running the free version where the "design capacity" tells me what I need to know. For instance, the design capacity for my seven year old iPad Air 2 is 58.6% which essentially means the battery is in pretty bad shape.

you can use a shortcut for this on the ipad. See here and some more elaborate here. Install, select the analytics file @sparksd referenced and and run the shortcut (or just run the second one I linked to). You will all info you want:

Cycle count? Just curious.

No offense intended ... but .... I have battery history from all my Apple Devices since my 6+ stored in coconutBattery and my MacBooks history on a daily basis (where it was installed). One of the best for the $ apps I've ever purchased (I do find battery stat watching a hobby). At least it isn't a subscription and it's been very stable over all the years - despite me only paying a tiny little $.

Not saying you HAVE to buy it but .... I've gotten my utility out of it for many many years now for such a small fee.

IMO, the BEST way to troubleshoot one's battery is to have a history of battery health over the life of the device, not a one time "oh look at that %" - imo. :p

But yeah this is pulled from Apple's own internal stats - you can get it with a shortcut or terminal code.

iMazing will also show the battery condition, and charge cycles. On any iPhone or iPad.
In addition to backing up your devices.
I've been using iMazing for a few years but didn't know this battery info was there until now. Thanks for pointing it out.
