I have an external USB disk, My Passport Essential SE 1 TB, want to check the rpm of the disk, is there a way?

Try reading the labels on the drive. Also try looking in System Information when the drive is connected. If you want to test the read/write speeds use AJA System Test.

nothing on the label, nothing on the system info, and tha aja system doesn't tell you that. :(

Sometimes the nominal disk RPM is encoded in the model number, like 7K2 or 5K4, ST1G7200ABC, 10K. Do you want the nominal RPM or actual? If you want the nominal, might as well Google search your model and see if there was only one speed for their entire line. If you really need to know the nominal speed, take the enclosure off and look at the label on the hard disk. It will be there.
