Hey guys,

I bought an iPhone 3GS in the Philippines and after doing a full restore it says it is locked (it was jailbroken when I bought it but I want the stock OS only).

Any way for me to check what carrier it is locked to? I haven't had any luck finding IMEI services that tell me what carrier I am supposed to be locked to.

Any tips would be appreciated.

There is some ebay services that will let you know the carrier the specific iphone is locked to.
Go to ebay and search for iphone carrier check.
There's several sellers that charge around $1 or $2 for that service.

I don't know if this works, but I read somewhere that if you can find out with redsn0w your IMSI number, than you can search the 5 first numbers to check the carrier. For me, and I believe it's correct the numbers match O2 from UK.

According to Apple's database* if it's a Philippines model then it'll be locked to either Globe or Smart. I know that doesn't answer your question but hopefully it narrows it down.
