Hi MR Forum peeps - I'm trying to work out which USB-C monitors will charge iPad Pro as well as display video. Apple and monitor manufacturers aren't helpful in working this out.
Eg. Apple says "some USB-C monitors can charge iPad Pro" https://d.pr/i/8v89AX but then doesn't say how to identify them. Here's the original page https://support.apple.com/en-au/HT209186#displays
I have read that the USB-C port on the monitor needs to be USB-C 3.1 Gen 2 - but monitor makers only say "USB-C".
Something like this Dell would be ideal - 27" screen for AUD$449. But Dell doesn't know whether it can charge iPad Pro. Amazingly, there are almost no articles out there addressing this. https://www.dell.com/en-au/shop/del...9hc/apd/210-aqic/monitors-monitor-accessories
Besides the LG monitors for twice the price, which Apple sells through the Apple Store, does anyone know which USB-C monitors will charge an iPad Pro as well as share the screen?
Thanks,
sholto
