how to clean 2015 Magic Keyboard?

I have a magic keyboard from 2015 which I use with my MBP 2015 in clamshell mode.

I've had it for years now and kept it as clean as possible... but obviously over those years dirt will have entered the keyboard.

How do I clean it?

I can't find any way to open it - except the battery compartment.
