How to clean a MacBook unibody white palm rest or protect it?

Does Anyone has any suggestion in cleaning a MacBook unibody white palm rest or protect it?
 
Water and tissues seems to work. It won't remove the scratches caused by the screen though.
 
Goof Off that comes in the pump spray bottle not the industrial strength. Spray on towel not your MacBook and clean away it takes everything off b sure to let dry.
