I don't think I have the restore disks anymore. Any idea of how to do this?

What do you have now? SL? I would restore it with that. I just sold my restore leopard disks on eBay, so you could always look there or on Craigslist, or even on the marketplace forum here..

I actually have the SL retail family pack disc. Could you lead me in the right path so I can clear this laptop out without a problem? I'd appreciate it!

I mean worse comes to worse, you could include the SL family pack when you sell the computer. I remember that my brother and I split the cost of the family pack of SL, and it cost like $50. Unless you still need the family pack (and since you are going to get SL included in your new MBP, I would just include that with the sale...

and as far as "cleaning it", just back everything up and then re-format the HDD with snow leopard.

So, if you're using Leopard OS still you can just put the install disc right in, and it will erase all old data in the HDD and install with a clean slate? I'm wondering because I plan on selling my MBP shortly. :apple:

Actually, after the CD boots, I would go to Disk Utilities and format the hard drive and then do an install.

What do you guys do with all your itunes stuff after you reformat?

What do you mean? You're selling the laptop, so your iTunes stuff will sit on whatever you backed it up onto until you copy it over to your next machine.
