As I mentioned in this previous thread, my iPhone 6s running iOS 13.5.1 mysteriously stopped getting notification sounds except for the phone ringer. Apple wouldn't help me and told me to update the OS, which I didn't want to do, as I was concerned a new OS would "break" my phone. Well, I updated to iOS 14, and it broke my phone, just as I feared. Not only do I continue not to receive notification sounds, my phone now crashes frequently and I don't get any of my gmail notifications. I desperately need to revert to iOS 12 and clone my older iPhone 6s running iOS 12. The reason why I can't just use the functional 6s running iOS 12 is that that the battery is in bad shape.

I'd appreciate any advice you may have.

thanks! :)

Sorry iOS 12 in any form isn't been signed anymore by Apple for the 6S so cloning isn't possible.. Neither is iOS 13 so your only option is iOS 14. If the battery is shot and you want to keep the functioning 6S my suggestion is to replace the battery. It sounds like your software is corrupted and the only way to clear the issues is to start fresh.. I suggest restoring the phone with the issues using iTunes and setup as new without using your backup. My 6S is running 14.4.2 and it has worked normally without the issues your describing so it's definitely isolated to your phone.
