Hi,

I can't find how to do this :

How can I close multiple windows on Snow Leopard ?
Let's say I have 3 firefox windows, 2 mail (main app + 1 composing mail) + etc....
How can I batch select all windows i would like to close, WITHOUT GOING TO EXPOSE AND CLOSING ONE AFTER ANOTHER ?

Today I do: expose, select window, close it THEN expose, select window, close it THEN again&again ...
This is annoying...

Maybe there's an app for that... ;-)

Thanks/Dany

Well, this will do partially what you want:

Hold down the Option key and then click the red Close Window button. This will close all open windows for that application.

not this...

Actually, I intended to close NOT THE APP, but some windows opended by the app...

cmd-tab lists only the apps - not the various windows opened by the app

I would like to, in expose, choose whaterver i wanted to close....

Is this possible ?

Maybe there's an app that lists on a panel all windows and has the ability to close them, clicking on a (X), for example ?

Thanks

yeah sorry close window isnt supported in command-tab. i dont think you can do it any other ways than discussed.

closing a window in Exposé like closing a widget by holding option and clicking the black x would be cool though.

The issue of window switching across apps is discussed here pretty frequently. I don't think there's anything for Expose where you can close windows from it, although that would be fairly useful. If you want you can buy Witch, which allows you to cycle through all open windows and then close them.

Witch

Thanks Miles....

Witch is a good app for that...

opt-tab lists all opened windows (not only the apps) and then, pressing W, we choose multiple windows to be closed....

Expose should do that....

Or witch could show thumbnails of the windows....

Thanks anyway...
