Hello I have taken a number of photos with my iPad and to be used on computer. However, the size of each photo is usually up to 2 or 3 MB which does not make sense obviously.

My question is

1. Is there any setting on the iPad such that the photos are automatically taken and stored with more normal or compressed size? I guess a photo usually only takes several hundreds of megabytes.

2. How to compress the photos after it is already transferred to the windows ?
Can I do it with iTunes or what is the most common way of compressing a photo without losing too much quality?

I don't want to use online compress because I have a lot of photos so I believe an installed software would be better.

Thank you.
