Mac OS X 10.5.5 - How do I configure PPPoE if I have a modem acting as a bridge? I tried apple support tutorial, but the screens descriptions don't match mine.

Have you tried the following?

1. Choose Apple>System Preferences, and then click Network.

2. Click Add (+) at the bottom of the network connection list, and choose PPPoE from the pop-up menu.

3. Enter the information you received from your ISP. (i.e., Username and password)

Done, but still doesn't work.
Modem configuration is ok, because I'm able to authenticate with a PC.
All I've entered in both pc and mac were username and password. Wasn't it supposed to be enough?
When I try to connect with mac, is says something like: "can't negotiate with server"
