How can I connect my phone to the Bluetooth in the car and then play music?

I got a rental car this week and I connected Bluetooth now how do I get it to play music? got a long 11 hour drive to NYC, so someone please help

So the car has bluetooth. The iPhone has bluetooth.

So just go into settings and turn bluetooth on. You would see something pop up on the screen to connect to the bluetooth on the car.

But I believe you have to do something to the car like press something to have it know you are trying to pair it to the phone.

If the car supports AD2P then when you're connected to the car in the music app you should have a small icon on the control tray that looks like a small rectangle with a triangle (symbol for airplay) and then you would have to have the audio source of the car be on bluetooth or possibly aux
