Hi,

I have a first generation Imac (OS 8.5) with lots of data to transfer to my new computer Emac (Jaguar). How do I do it easily? I understand that I can us an Ethernet cable, but how do I set-up both computers to "talk" to each other?

Thanks.

use apple talk. turn on apple talk--shared on the imac. then go into file sharing on emac, and look for that computer. it will mount the imac's drive as a hard drive. copy away.

also, check the apple support site--they have lots of articles on this.
