Hey,

I own PC which is connected to Dell 2007FP display. I would like to do the following:

* keep the Dell 2007FP connected via DVI connector to the PC as the monitor of the PC.

* be able to use the Dell 2007FP as a second monitor of my rMBP, while not plugging out the connector from the PC.

Is such configuration possible?

Thanks.

Asides for using VGA (via a displayport to VGA adapter), I don't see how you can achieve what you want.

I think that a DVI switcher would be the best option but these aren't that cheap.

There are some nice software solutions for dual monitors. Screen Recycler might actually work for this - where you use the PC as a secondary Mac monitor - done over the network I think. No physical switching needed.

Air Display is a great app but I think it's more for iOS devices to Macs
