Hi all,

I have older type of video camera Sony and I tried to transfer my video to my MacBook Pro. I connected them with USB but nothing happened:confused:. Mac did not even recognised video camera. Do I need to download some software?

I tried option "transfer from Camera" in iMovie, but could not find my video.

Thank you very much

What exact video camera do you have? The model should be at least listed on the bottom of the camcorder?
Does it have "i.Link" or "DV-OUT" as a port (shown in the graphic below as "FW400 4-pin" port)?

If so, you need to get the appropriate Firewire cable as shown in the graphic above.

Camera type is Sony model No DCR-HC22E with handycam station, yes it has FW400 4-pin" port and iLink
Thank you very much for your help, I will buy a new Firewire cable.:)
