How do you converted mp4 to dvd? I have some cool MP4 video and would like to converted them into dvd format to watch it on TV, is there any MAC software (FREE even better...) can do that functions, thanks for all input, very appreciate it.
This seems like the ticket -- HOWEVER -- does not support Mac! If you use Boot Camp or Fusion or Parallels, you should be in luck... I believe that it is free, which you thought would be "even better".
The whole suite is pricey at $79 but seems to cover the whole gamut,... I think though you'd want the one "DVD Creator for Mac" which I am downloading now to try out...
You can also use MPEG Streamclip (www.squared5.com), available for Mac OS X, to convert the video files to DV files and then import those into iMovie or even iDVD.

What I do is open a new project in iDVD and let iDVD encode and burn my DVD. I think you should ensure that the mp4 file you want to convert to DVD is playable by Quicktime, as that is what iDVD uses. It's not fast, in fact, it's darn slow, even on the latest generation MacPro notebook. A 90 minute movie takes a couple hours to encode and burn, but other than that, thats what works for me and it's already there on my Mac. Nothing extra needed.
