How to convert .mp4 to .mov for Final Cut Pro

Hello, I am trying to practise editing by making movie trailers from DVD I have. I used handbreak to bring the movie on my computer, but it comes in a .mp4 and final cut won't read it. So I was wondering if there was a free converter for .mp4 to .mov files or something I can do in handbreak ?

Compressor comes with Final Cut Pro.

Try using that to change into a file, that you can edit with.

Remember though it's another generation of compression.

Handbrake is the wrong tool for converting DVD-Video to an editing format. Use MPEG Streamclip.
