How to convert your zip file into a ipsw file??

I am on a Windows 7 Machine and when I download the link(s) that people out there have for the GSM iPhone I download them and they save as zip files.

Could someone please help me out, I'm running beta 7 on my iPhone so I cant just hit update.

rename the zip file with .ipsw at the end(works at least on macs)

yea do what bmwman said. I just rename it and it always works. I am on windows 7.
