How to create a mail folder using Mac Mail...?

Hi folks,

Mac OS X 10.7.5
Mail v 5.3

Apologies if this is a simple question... I am new to Mac Mail.

How can I create a new folder for a particular mail account? I have a Yahoo mail account that I access via Mac Mail. Currently, if I want a new folder, I have to create it from Yahoo mail. How can I create the folder in Mac Mail and have it sync with the Yahoo mail server?

Also, I don't understand Mail's concept of a "Mailbox". What is a mailbox (versus a mail account)?
