Hi, I am looking at the apple.com navbar, and I want to create something similar for one of my sites, which the navbar will be blue, not silver. I like how mediatemple.net has their navbar look like you've actually pushed in a button. How do i create images to look like this in photoshop?

Try playing with the inner shadow layer styles and see if that give you the effect you are looking for.

Yeah, try using CSS rather than images. It's much easier to modify and extend to other text/languages.

CSS wont exactly give him the effect he wants alone.
By using the sliding door technique he can easily create an accessible SEO website.

CSS and images can coexist peacefully. :)
