Hi,

I was trying to repair disk volume & got message that I need to Install the OS disk & after rebooting it with disk I have to repair the volume. I do not have installer disk of 10.6, can any one guide me how to make installer disk of 10.6 so that I can insert it & repair the disk volume.

Thanks.

I don't have any original DVD.

Then you either contact Apple and ask for Replacement DVDs (approx. 15 to 30 USD) or if your Mac was bought before March/April 2010, then you can also use the Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard Retail/Upgrade DVD for 29 USD, as it comes with 10.6.3.

Thanks for the info.

I'd suggest getting the replacement discs rather than buying a retail installer because otherwise you won't have installers for the iLife software included with the computer, which may not matter if you got iLife '11 from the App store.
