How to create PDF of stored Mac iMessages?

Hi,

I recently cleared my iPhone of about 5 gb of imessages but have many synced imessages on my Mac. I would like to have a record of my iMessages from my Mac for backup and quick access.

I am thinking of buying Phoneview but I think it only allows you to extract and create PDF of iMessages stored on the phone.

Is there a legit app that can extract iMessages from your Mac in pdf form on High Sierra?

with phoneview, it goes on to your computer so you can select which message you would like to keep in pdf format and it does not look like how it would if taking screenshots from iphone, you can choose which messages and i think other formats than pdf too - HTH
