I have had my sim card since I got my first mobile in 2000. Good to hear I can keep using it in the iPhone 5 (I just hope EE don't require me to get a new one when I sign up for 4G). :D

I did this because when i called my provider, they really had no idea about nano sims...!

I'm quite surprised they didn't know what it is, since Apple is such a large and popular company. Rumors about nano sims have been so popular, as well as the fact that I happen to know that Apple sent out an advisory to all of their resellers well in advance about nano sims...

Perhaps the store you went to either missed it, threw it away, or just plain didn't read it.

I think I'm gonna pony up the $10 and get a new nano. Probably need to for LTE anyways....
