How to cut out separate episodes from DVD and save to .avi?

I did a search of previous threads and couldn't find the answer to my question. There were many on converting DVD/Video .TS into .avi files using Handbrake, etc.

I want to take all of my Simpsons seasons DVDs and convert into .avi files. However as you probably know, each disk contains multiple episodes. Is there a way to convert each separate episode into a .avi file? Or do you have to do the whole disk?

Any program (paid or free) or method would be great! Thanks!

Handbrake will do what you're looking for. Each episode will appear as a separate "title". There will be a bunch of others, but they'll all be a few seconds long. Look for the ones roughly 20 minutes in length. That's what you're after. Rip all chapters for a given title, and all is good.
