I want to order a BTO new 16” MBP but I’m currently out of the country. I know I will be there a few days before Christmas and out again.

Is there an easy way to deal with this? Any way to have it shipped to a store and hold it there for a couple weeks?

This is plan B but I would rather not rely on a friend for something that expensive.

You can't have it shipped to an Apple store to hold, but I believe UPS and Fedex offer some limited hold options. If it was my order, I wouldn't want it sitting in a shipper's warehouse. It's too easy for something to happen to it. I once did a UPS hold for a couple of days for a non-electronic item and when I went to pick it up, they told me it had been shipped back to the sender. They admitted it was an error, but that's the kind of thing that can happen.

It looks like shipping to a friend is my best option.

Thanks for the help guys!

You guys assume way too much.
I have no problems trusting my friends. If there was another way I would rather not ask them. Why bother them if I could just have an Apple store hold my order?
