If you are using Leopard then Disk Utility should be able to delete the partition (while keeping the other partition(s) intact of course). You can even repartition the disk you are currently booted on without having to boot off the Leopard DVD :).

Now i pressed delete and all the data on the disk IS gone, but the disk is still there :S
 
Hey now i found out :)
the partition is gone now : D
only one problem more. When i try to make my OS X partition fill the whole disk i just get the message that i didnt work out because of the control or reperation of the file system or something..
