I downloaded a big program and no longer want it. How to delete?
 
hey yer i downloaded msn messenger and firefox (.dmg) and they both got auto mounted and they are running after i installed them i think but and they both show in devices in the finder but if i eject them then the programs wont run.
what am i mean to do surely i dint leave them there?

Copy the app out of the dmg and put it in your application folder

You drag them from the 'disk image' (that folder thats on your desktop) into your Applications folder.

Then you delete the .dmg and eject the disk image, and run the application from your Applications folder.

Download AppTrap. It's freeware and when you drag an application from the Applications folder to the trashbin, it gives you the option of deleting all files associated with the program.
