I'm looking to delete everything off my Verizon iPhone 4 that I'm going to be selling and was wondering how I can do this and still KEEP my firmware version.

Currently I have iOS 6.1 (10B141) jailbroken and want to keep it that way. (the 6.1 part, not the jailbreak.)

Also before I jailbroke I think I saved my SHSH blobs but I can't find them anymore. What can I use to save the SHSH blobs? and should I do this before or after I delete everything off my phone?

Any help is appreciated, thank you! :)

this recent thread here explains well what you have to do to save your blobs:

i presume you could return to that saved version after a full itunes restore with a IP 4 but dont take my word for it.

It's possible since its the iPhone 4. Open cydia and click TSS center. Does it show any iOS 6.1 blobs? If not, download ifaith and dump the blobs

iLex Rat.
Deletes everything, keeps firmware and jailbreak.

Do I need to add a special repo to find this? I want to sell my jb and unlocked iphone 4 but obviously want to get all of my personal data off of it first.

Yes, there is a special repo !
I don't know it because now I have iOS 7.
You could google it or download semi restore (semi restore does the same thing as iLex RAT but on the computer - you connect the iPhone and click on button - the iPhone is restored to the same iOS version and keeps the jailbreak. All data is lost)

An alternative can be to just dump your blobs using ifaith. Stitch the blobs to a custom ipsw (of that same iOS version)

Put into pwned DFU mode and restore. And then jailbreak with evasi0n. With this method, you can be sure everything gets wiped

https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/1568493/ contains the repo for ilexrat

As said above, semirestore is essentially the same as ilexrat but done from the computer

I would follow Darrick's advice and pwned DFU restore as new using your blobs and then sell the phone. This is the best way to wipe the phone completely clean before selling it. I'm sure its overkill and ilex rat or semi-restore can do the job just fine. I guess I'm old school. I love me some DFU restore as new!
