My previous employer supplied me with an iPhone and a new MacBook.

I was using both of them hooked up to a iCloud account which I'd created especially for work purposes. Let us call the account hibbit_work@icloud.com.

I left that employer some weeks ago and both devices were deactivated from the account when I left. Presumably both the iPhone and the Mac have been reset by now and someone else is using them.

I've still got the password to the iCloud account and I tried logging into it in a browser today cos I want to delete it to clear up any digital detritus that may be lingering. I have no intention of using whatever is in the old iCloud account. I don't care about any calendar entries or photos or whatever is in there. I just would like the peace of mind that it has been deleted (or archived, never to be used again).

The problem is that when I try and login with the password which is stored in my password manager, I get a prompt to use the work phone number which I handed in weeks ago. I can't remember the full number, as it's just displaying the last few digits.

Is there anyone I can email to get this account deleted or should I just leave it and give up? It's a pretty strong password and I don't think there's any chance anyone else will ever get into it. The email address is also fairly obscure, so I don't think I'm squatting on a desirable address, or anything like that. It feels like one of those cases where doing the right thing seems more effort than it's worth!
