How to Delete Repeat Items from a List?

Hey folks!

So...I've got a huge list of email addresses that I'm trying to manage. The first step is to delete all of the repeated addresses. I took a look at Automator, but couldn't figure out a way to use it for this. Does anyone know an easy way to do it?

Sort the list in a spreadsheet and delete the duplicate lines.
