How to detect when a Mac has not been shutdown correctly

Hello, I'm a big fan of this forums but never needed to post or register, this time I have one question that I could not find the answer.

The fact is, I would like to know whenever a Mac is being shutdown improperly or forced shutdown is this event is registered by logs in any way during startup process?
