iOS How to develop web apps?

It is my understanding that the posts on this forum are oriented towards developing an app for the app store. However, I am more interested in iphone web apps. Web Apps require a great deal of knowledge of web programming, and I already understand a majority of HTML. In essence, the iphone uses HTML5 with unique features tailored specifically towards mobile phones. What resources would I be able to use to understand more of programming with HTML5 and web app programming in general?
