how to disable alert pop-up bubbles

How to disable this kind of "pop-ups". It appears every time the song changes or somebody signs-in/out to skype.

Open System Preferences, click on Growl (should be at the bottom of the window), uncheck 'Start Grow at Login' and click 'Stop Growl'.
