How to disable audio ducking while using FaceTime?

I've been trying to watch a video and FaceTime with someone at the same time. However, when I try to do this FaceTime causes the volume of everything else to be pretty much silent. I've seen a terminal solution online, however because of SIP I am unable to successfully run it. This seems like such a pain, for functionality that seems so basic. Does anyone have a solution besides disabling SIP, buying 3rd party software, or using Skype?

Edit:
Just as a note I am running 10.12.2, however I've heard this issue has existed through many different OS'.
