Hi all,

I have enabled tap to click on my trackpad. Sometimes when I tap to click something, my Mac's trackpad takes that as a force touch and then drags the cursor, causing a highlight.

Is there any way to disable force touch so that my tap to clicks are more reliable?

Thank you!

Drag lock?

Yeah this doesn't sound like a force touch issue - it can't be enabled by tapping to click (I use this too) and I would also suffer from the dragging/highlighting issue occasionally if I moved my fingers. I used the previous posters suggestion and found it to be the best option. Now, however, I just use press to click and force touch as tapping also had inadvertent consequences such as accidental clicks, etc., if I were to gently rest my palm on the edge of the trackpad and move it slightly.

Cheers
