Imagine that you are watching a livestream, and then remember that you would like to get something from your kitchen. You see a 10-20 second window and run to the kitchen, bluetooth disconnects and when you comeback the livestream has paused. This problem gets compounded due to the fact that its not always straight forward to get back to live (Or if you have a noisy bluetooth environment).

The workaround is to remove your wireless headphones before you run to the kitchen(simulating an imaginary wire).
This is not the same as automatic ear detection (already turned off) and happens on every headphone disconnect.

So the question is: How to cut this wireless wire?
All solutions from simple hidden preference value to corrupting system files are acceptable. (The irritation level is high on this one =) )

I imagine you watch a live stream in a browser, which one? It might be its "feature". I bet on Chrome, since it's the most popular one.
There is something similar to what you described in Chrome. Try opening chrome://flags, disabling "global media controls" and/or "hardware key handling".
Keep us posted :)
