How to disable press home to unlock on iphone 5 with no touchid

I just updated my iphone 5 to the new software and I have to now press the home button twice to get to the passcode screen. This is really annoying. Is there anyway to remove this? I know its removable with touchid.

Nope. It requires TouchID. Not great is it? I'm lucky in that I've got TouchID, this double press drove me nuts when on the Beta before I found that "rest finger to unlock" setting. Not much help to you I guess
