Despite the fact that everything is turned off in System Preferences → Spotlight Categories

In fact come to think of it macOS 13.1 just seems to be ignoring categories being turned off altogether. It still shows everything and searches the web. 🤦‍♂️

Is it even possible to just have Spotlight search stuff on my notebook only? If not, any other suggestions?

UPDATE: In case anyone else Google's this thread too and is confused, it's working now

After opening a Terminal and running "killall Spotlight" it seems to now be following the expected system preference categories. Turning off "Siri Suggestions" would seem to be all that's needed to keep one's Spotlight searches local.
