As you can see in the attachment (tap for full pic), every time I browse Reddit, I see “Open App”. I don’t like to use the app because I much prefer the web version. This is also the case with Amazon. However, there are notifications I like to receive, such as private messages for Reddit.

How can we disable the “Open App” bar to regain some of our valuable screen real estate when browsing the web on Safari?

Sounded like exactly what I needed, but didn't seem to work for me, unfortunately. At least not for Reddit w/ App installed. Thanks, though.

I think that’s the problem, if I don’t actually have the app installed that banner usually has an "x" that van be tapped to dismiss it but if the app is installed I don’t see the x so just have to put up with it being there. perhaps it varies by app but I don’t see an "x" much anymore.
