Force Touch trackpad. Turn the computer off. Try to press the trackpad. If it doesn't move or click, and feels solid, it's the 2015 model.

To be completely sure, just type the serial number into https://selfsolve.apple.com/, or go to 'About this Mac' and it'll tell you which model it is.

The trackpad is a good way, as mentioned. I think that's really the only way, other then running a system profile or checking the serial number

I think you mean MacBook and not ThinkPad

The new force touch trackpad doesn't have any movement when the power is off, and when the Mac is on, it simulates movements by the force touch motor. If you press and feel a click, its an older model.
