I was hoping someone might be able to help me figure out how to do a multi-camera live web cast. I own four Sony HXR-MC50U's and want to use a MacBook Pro 2.26 Intel Core 2 Duo with 2GB RAM.

Anyone have a suggestion for a device that I can use that would connect those cameras through Firewire so I can stream it on something like ustream? I don't have a huge budget either, so the cheaper the solution the better.

Thanks,
Adam

You might want to try and rent a tricaster switcher. I know they are expensive to buy but a video rental company in your area might have one. www.newtek.com/tricaster/. You can check them out at the manufactures website to see if they might suit your needs.

Yeah, the Tricaster is a pretty good option, but you also might want to go with a small hardware switcher and feed the output of that in to your capture card.
