How to do a clean install of Yosemite on MBA?

I would like to do a clean install of Yosemite on my 2010 MBA. It is already running Yosemite, but I have a lot of unused programs and other crap on it that I want to wipe away and start over fresh in the hopes of improving its speed somewhat. Are there any instructions on how to do a clean install of Yosemite somewhere?

This is a pretty handy guide for Mavericks which should translate to Yosemite. I used this guide when putting a new hard drive in a MBP.
